Video Strategist (x2 Full-Time)


If you’re an eloquent communicator with a sales background across digital, creative, tech or ecommerce — this is the job for you. We’re looking for two full-time talented and resilient Video Strategists to join our team at Vidico, based in either Sydney or Melbourne. This role offers someone the chance to start their accounts/sales career in video production and move towards a closing role, or Account Manager.

What will I work on?

The role of Video Strategist requires a hustle mentality and a palpable energy; you’ll be pitching for new business, and generating video content concepts for our existing clients, who are mainly senior decision makers within the startup and technology sectors.

You’ll be evangelising our video production offering, and building a pipeline of opportunities with both innovative startups and leading tech brands.

If you were at Vidico last week, you would be…

  • Building a substantial pipeline of video production opportunities with global startups and technology companies
  • Engaging with key decision makers, overcome objections and confirm discovery calls with the sales team.
  • Obtaining a monthly and quarterly individual pipeline and meetings quota in-line with business growth objectives.


Skills, Education & Experience Requirements

  • Smart, tenacious, and persistent – you’re comfortable in overcoming objections and goal orientated. We’re looking for A+ players that have a positive mindset, and high energy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage in discovery meetings with a head of marketing, marketing manager, or social media manager audience.
  • Highly organised and methodical in your approach, with the ability to ruthlessly prioritise your time.
  • A fast learner who can quickly get up to speed with online tools such as Pipedrive CRM and email marketing tools.
  • Ambitious mentality – you thrive off identifying and connecting with new opportunities, and take pride in knowing what creative solutions will work for specific clients.
  • Successful experience in a new business generation/inside sales role is an advantage
  • Minimum 1-years experience in a quota attaining account management, or creative/digital/tech/ecommerce sales development role.
  • Agency experience or education in media/communications space will be an advantage.

What is our hiring process?

Our interview process consists of a recruiter phone screen, a first round panel interview, and a second round panel interview. These will be completed in-person or online (via Google Meets).
