About the role

The Finance Administrator plays an integral role at Vidico, working closely with the founding managers, and our HR function (People & Talent Manager).

The role will primarily function within the areas of accounts payable and accounts receivable; using Vidico’s pre-built infrastructure to ensure that the day-to-day financial operations run smoothly, and are kept up-to-date.

What you’ll do:

Accounts Payable Functions:

  • Issuing client invoices
  • Accounting for scope and budget updates
  • Client invoice requests and reminders
  • Form completion for vendor procurement
  • Reconciling incoming-payments

Accounts Receivable Functions

  • Supplier procurement and accounts setup
  • Coordinating supplier batch-payments
  • Reconciling bill-payments

1 x Video Production Assistant / Studio Coordinator

If you’re a video production assistant or recent film graduate that’s hands-on, loves producing, and is a people-person  — this is the job for you. Vidico is looking to bring on a Video Production Assistant / Studio Coordinator who will support our 16-person office in Collingwood. In short, you’ll need to assist the team across a wide gamut of pre-production tasks, also ensuring that our studio is well maintained, functional and efficient.

For clarity, there will be two main functions to this role:

  1. Production Assisting: Supporting the live-action team in bringing together all the required elements for a Vidico production, and for the shoot date to be a success. Which means having the opportunity to source talent, locations and schedule the shoot from bump-in to bump-out!
  2. Studio Coordination: your role will primarily centre around day-to-day office administration tasks, keeping the internal team updated with upcoming events and new processes, and servicing the studio to maintain a functional and clean working environment, and a dynamic working culture for everyone here at Vidico.

What will I work on?

Daily Production Assistant Tasks:

  • Talent: Scouting / casting / acquiring / booking performance talent for Vidico productions
  • Location: Scouting / reviewing / acquiring / booking location options for Vidico productions
  • Booking: Crew call-outs & confirming availabilities
  • Shoot Scheduling: Creating shot schedules based off of shooting requirements
  • Call-Sheets: Creating and sending call-sheets for Vidico Productions

Daily Studio Coordinator Tasks:

  • Ensuring the studio is orderly and functional.
  • Office administration: Coordinating ammenities, cleaners, and safety.
  • Newsletter & company updates
  • Databasing and organising

What you’ll bring:

What will I work on?

  • Ideating; using your keen understanding of brand and story to assist the strategy and accounts team in presenting A+ creative concepts to clients. You’d back this with an excellent moodboard or set of video examples that help the client understand your vision.
  • Writing; once a project is won, you’ll need to further interpret the brief to refine the script for the project. Notes on visuals, transitions should be a part of your approach.
  • Storyboarding; you’ll then direct an illustrator on your vision for the storyboard, and bring your sense for tone and pacing to the project.
  • Producing; you’ll be producing some projects yourself. Elements like the right talent, location and set design to match your vision for the storyboard should come naturally and quick.
  • Shooting; you’ll be engaging in some 1-2 person shoots, but also have the opportunity to be shooter on our larger brand videos with 5-10+ people. Ideally you’re also a handy photographer, and can shoot confidently on a pro-DSLR with manual settings.
  • Editing; getting the very best out of each edit though in-office brainstorms and review and approval tools like Frame.io.
  • Communicating with Clients; at each stage of the process, you’d be presenting your creative work to clients with the support of a producer and creative project manager.

What you’ll bring:

  • Content strategy; strong understanding of advertising platforms, digital, broadcast and emerging new media outlets like TikTok.
  • Shooting; you can shoot on smaller cameras, all the way up to systems like a Blackmagic URSA. You’re also an excellent photographer, and have previously shot products in-studio.
  • Editing; you understand tone, and how to achieve an edit with the right tempo.
  • Work with key stakeholders to ensure creative fits the needs of their business area

We’re looking for a well-rounded Animation Producer with an eye for detail, strong creative drive, and stellar organisational skills — to join our fast-growing team at Vidico.

You’ll be working as a key part of our dedicated in-house production team of designers, animators and editors.

You’ll be teaming up with some of the very best talent in video production, creative and animation in the country; from explainer video projects, to commercials viewed by millions. A team player who can successfully collaborate with many different teams and colleagues is mandatory; an excellent listener who is calm under pressure is what we’re looking for.

The role is full-time, and will be from our very own office in Collingwood, Melbourne.

The role of 2D Animation Producer requires the chosen candidate to display a proven track record of delivering quality explainer videos, commercials, and animated video to clients.

Qualified applicants will be managing multiple projects simultaneously and knowledge of production techniques, schedules, budgets must also be demonstrated in previous working positions. The ideal applicant will also be the first point of contact with some of our clients — candidates will need to have both clear and excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Weekly Activities

You’ll be working with our production team on the following:

  • Working on production scheduling for our clients
  • Communicating with Vidico suppliers and stakeholders in order to produce projects effectively
  • Organising pre-production elements such as scripts, storyboards, illustrators and animators
  • Ensuring project delivery times are maintained and kept on track
  • Working creatively to present solutions that are innovative and resourceful
  • Idea generation for creative concepts
  • Producing creative design assets for animation
  • Maintaining and surpassing existing production standards set in Vidico’s current portfolio
  • Calmness under pressure, consistency, and attention to detail are highly important attributes that will be required for this role’s success. The chosen candidate should also have a very genuine interest and appreciation for storytelling, as this is at the heart of what we bring to the commercial content space.

Skills and Experience Requirements

 

  • 2-4 years experience in a producer/multimedia/video content role.
  • Highly organised and process driven.
