Our approach to production for both approaches is similar in pre-production stages (scripting, storyboarding, talent acquisition), though there are going to be noticeable resource differences on actual production day, and for our post-production studio (editing, colour grading, sound design).
Animatics are animated storyboards that often contain a base sound layer like voiceover alongside the visual narrative. It’s one of the best testing methods for video creative, and can assess a number of important factors like tonality, pacing and sequencing. AIP asked Vidico to produce an explainer video for their groundbreaking blockchain project that allows you to invest in songs. We used a combination of 2D-animation and frame-by-frame, with the project taking our Melbourne studio 5-weeks to complete.
