That’s why we headed in the opposite direction, where we took on an ambitious feat with Koala to create a 2-minute long brand film that drew viewers in with outrageous statement creative.
Why? Because in our eyes, any watch time over 1min (50% of the video) could be just as valuable as a click.
This turned out right. All Koala display ads outside the video suddenly increased their CTR by 18%.
Over 1,300,000 views across Facebook and YouTube Preroll, with a staggering 2-minute average watch time.
As a result, Koala has taken a shortened version of the video to TV, meaning we have now produced back-to-back television campaigns for the most exciting
DTC company in Australia.
